This is Miss Kelly. This is her tale according to Golden parents, Greg & Carrie Korycki. "As the clock strikes midnight tonight [May 1, 2004] our Miss Kelly, known as Kelly Belly in the neighborhood, will be 15 years young. She is no old lady, so she tells us. She's got attitude: she's spunky, she's funny, and usually stubborn. She's hell on wheels, and we wouldn't have it any other way. She controls every rawhide chew bone in the house by gathering them around her bed and fiercely defending each and every one from her sister, Sam.

To those who are thinking about adopting an old gold (or golden oldie) I've got to tell you, it's well worth the journey. We've had Kelly two years and have loved every minute of it. Our only regret is that we didn't adopt her sooner.

So, tomorrow you will find us celebrating Belly's birthday at the Dairy Queen. Belly and Samantha will be found hanging out in back of our SUV eating (inhaling, really) their vanilla cones. Carrie and I may even be allowed to eat cones of our own! Happy Birthday, Miss Kelly!!"
