Buddy . . . striving to become a Working Dog!

Mary MacQueen, of Nitro Golden Retrievers, is also a proud member of Kinzua Search Dogs. Besides her love for Goldens, she works tirelessly in this nonMary and Willow-profit, all volunteer group that endeavors to locate missing persons. Based in southwestern New York, Kinzua Search Dogs conducts searches in New York State as well as Pennsylvania.

Mary is quite proud of her first trained Search & Rescue gal, Willow. A grand lady who is blessed with brains, beauty, bravado and bounce, Am Can Ch Nitro's Blaze Of Glory TDI, CGC is a Golden dream come true. Currently, Mary and hubby Butch are busy training Goldens Badger and Peaches to follow in Willow's famous pawprints. 

During Spring 2002 Mary put out a call looking for a potential narcotics or explosives dog to train for Kinzua Search Dogs and Phillips Command Dogs. Susan Still of Michigan's Foxboro Golden Retrievers thought she had the perfect candidate to become a great working dog.

Well, this is the story of that guy, a 2-year-old dude named Bubba, who upon coming to New York was considered such a sweetie that he immediately became everyone's "Buddy." Now, get ready to follow Buddy's continuing adventures (as told by Mom Mary) as he strives to become a true Working Dog!   up
