Kathy sent us this post about siblings Farley and Kate on January 22, 2001.

Hi, my name is Kathy Wager and I have the tale of two of my home bred Goldens, Karnerblue Jolly Farley and Karnerblue Kiss Me Kate. Farley and Kate were half brother/sister, same Mom Jolly Jukebox Jamboree, different fathers. I was breeding for my home bred show dog, neither one made it, Farley too tall for the show ring, Kate great show prospect, at 18 month had hip displasia.

Not one to get rid of either, I gave up showing and went to school and got a BS in accounting and a CPA. I lost both of these beautiful goldens to cancer, hemangiocarcinoma. Farley died on Feb. 24, 1999 after only knowing something was wrong with him for seven days.

With Kate I guess I knew more. She was diagnosed with two tumors, one in her heart and one on her liver in Dec. She amazed me and her vets. She had two regimes of a Chinese herb which kept her going and comfortable for six weeks, but on the am of Jan 11 I knew it was time. Her eyes said Mom, I've had it. She was bleeding internally the same way her brother died, so off to Dr. Rich's we
went and said, Katie go be with Farley at the Bridge and wait for me. I will always love you. I planned your birth was with you when you were born. Take care little girl I'll always love you.

Farley was one month short of being 10, Kate made her 10th birthday. We celebrated with a cake with the # 10 and she was 10 years 7 months and 24 days old when she died. Thanks for the site and letting me tell my story of two very special dogs in my life.
