On May 31, 2001, Vivien Downes sent us a very special poem, along with the following message: "This past weekend we had the painful experience of putting our 8-year-old Golden to sleep due to bone cancer in his leg. Thru the tears and heartbreak, my 13-year-old daughter just hours after "Bodie" was put to sleep, wrote this poem. I thought it would help other owners in the same situation, think back on the happy times that they spent with their pals, and to know that they are not alone. All our dearly loved Goldens have surely gotten their wings."
