Spray Sentry Automated Cat Deterrent System

Is your cat jumping on counters or scratching the furniture? Is your cat eating plants? Do you have a cat urine problem?
Well, Spray Sentry may be a great solution. This electronic cat repellent is a non-invasive method
for controlling such cat behavior problems. The spray deterrent system
blends innovative spray technology with an adjustable motion sensor capable of
detecting movement within five feet of a designated area.
 How it works:
Once the motion sensor identifies an intruder, the Spray Sentry is activated
and able to deliver a number of different warnings ranging from an audible tone
to burst of compressed air. The spray is odorless, completely harmless and yet
proven to be highly effective in deterring your cat from jumping on counters or
digging in potted plants, for example. Spray Sentry stops the chain reaction that leads up to the final unwanted act
and consequently changes the behavior and motivation associated with it.
Now, your cat will associate a certain behavior with a stimulus (the
spray) found in his environment.
Here's an example: the kitchen
counter.
Place the cat deterrent on the counter where your cat tends to
jump up. As soon as Spray Sentry detects your cat, it makes a loud, constant noise
and sprays out air. This is not a pleasant experience for the cat
and the counter eventually becomes a spot he wants to avoid. At this point,
you can gradually decrease the spray, and the
noise then becomes sufficient to keep your cat off the counter.

Setting your Spray Sentry up for use is easy and only requires a few short steps:
1.
Place the unit where you don't want the cat to go (e.g., kitchen counter, near a plant or a particular piece of furniture).
2. Turn on to sound/spray mode, wait a few seconds for the
motion sensor to stabilize itself. Adjust the motion sensor to
pickup cat's motion and the spray to deter them away from off-limit area.
3. For the first few days, use the sound/spray mode. A sound
then a spray will be released when the motion sensor detects
the
movement of the cat.
4. Once the cat associates the sound with the spray, the sound
will be enough to keep the cat away from unwanted areas.
Occasionally
you will want to use the sound/spray mode so your cat continues to
associate the sound with the spray.
