Meet Rosie
This sweet girl is wearing a Snood that her mom, Mary Ann, recently ordered for her. She told me the soft snood is now keeping her ears warm. She originally wrote to us:

"I appreciate it that you carry this! I adopted an abused pit bull, and someone cut off her ears. What is left of her ears gets so cold in the winter, and this little hat looks just right to keep her warm and comfortable."

Mary Ann is a saint for giving this dear girl a new life. Gold Paw is also wonderful as the desired color combo was not in stock but the seamstress heard about Rosie's story and made one just for her!

 

FITTING GUIDE
1. Measure your dog's girth!  Start with your dog standing up, this is very important as dogs get several inches longer when they sit and lay down. Girth: With your dog still standing and using a soft flexible measuring tape (or the string method – described below) measure around your dog’s rib cage, just behind the front legs.

2. Choose a size.  Looking at the chart below find where your dog’s measurements fall. It’s not uncommon for a dog the have different sizes correspond to the length and the girth. It’s usually best to choose based on the closest girth measurement, i.e. aim to have your dog in the middle of the girth range. Very wide dogs should size up for anything except the stretch fleece, and narrow dogs should size down, especially with the stretch fleece. Need more help? Our Sun Shield Tee is silky soft, lightweight stretch jersey with a UPF-50 rating that blocks 98% of the sun’s harmful UV rays. It is not a chemical treatment - it's a mechanical quality of the yarn so the protection won't diminish with washing. Super comfortable indoors and out and perfect for all sorts of applications beyond sun protection too: skin conditions, wound care, topical medications, works great as an anti-anxiety calming aid that can be worn all day.

They really reduce heat absorption too: We tested black Lab, Luke, out in the sun with an infrared thermometer gun and found his fur was more than 40 degrees cooler under the Tee than without – it’s wearable shade! Want extra cooling? Get it wet and your pup can enjoy the evaporative cooling effect!
