A “good chew” helps keep your pet’s teeth clean, promotes gum strength and
health and helps to reduce stress.
SAFETY can never be stressed
enough! While some dogs are slow and methodical chewers,
others can be quite aggressive when greeted with such a
treat. It is always important to remember that you MUST supervise your dog
when utilizing this, or any kind, of chew.
We keep our Alfie in the same
room with us and watch him as he slowly chews and softens
and ingests his chew. When it gets too small, possibly
representing a choking hazard, we take it away and toss it out. In that way, we do
not need to worry about him ingesting a large piece.

STICKS 101 . . .
All Bully Sticks are not
created equal. The first thing to consider when
purchasing bully sticks is the country of origin. Most of
the bully sticks found in major pet stores are from India or
other parts of the world outside of the USA. The
living conditions of people and livestock in these countries
is less than appealing. We sell product
from free-ranging American cattle that are given NO hormones, NO antibiotics,
and NO steroids,
and who graze
freely on open, wild grass fields.
Another difference between bully sticks on the marketplace
is whether or not they are vertically drained and then
baked. It is much cheaper to sun dry bully sticks and other
natural treats, but
it is much riskier as potential diseases
and bugs can enter the product much more easily. All
of our treats and chews are baked—which is more expensive—but
this allows for the quality of the product to remain quite
All-Natural Bully Sticks
are truly different. Most of the bully sticks on the market
are irradiated—ours are not. This is due to the fact
that irradiation actually destroys
nutrients and creates new chemicals in food (learn more about irradiation here). The bully sticks we carry are also not
smoked, which adds a process and ingredients that we believe are
just not healthy for our dogs. The problem is, most businesses
fail to mention if their sticks are smoked or not. Smoked sticks
can tend to look prettier and even be thicker; however, their
quality is definitely lacking.
All you have to do is
ask. We are amazed at how afraid folks
are to ask businesses about their products before making a
purchase. Remember, companies want to make a sale and do not
always mention what is done to bully sticks. They leave out the
fact that they may be smoked, that the animals had received
antibiotics and hormones, they were subjected to
irradiation, or that insecticides & chemical fertilizers were utilized
in the raising of the cattle, etc.
Don't be fooled by the
price. You will see Bully Sticks selling for $3 to $12 each,
thicker and larger product tending to fetch more. However,
product from companies that utilize questionable practices is
clearly not worth the same as product such as that which we are
selling, which is 100% free-range, natural, irradiation-free,
antibiotic-free, growth hormone-free, etc.
The problem is that many companies are
selling poor-quality product at ridiculous prices, and folks are
being fooled into believing that they are getting something good
for their dogs. And, that is the saddest part of this equation.
We have to admit that the price tag on Bravo products is high, but they
are honestly the very best you can buy. Sometimes feeding something to your
dog of high quality is *priceless*. Bravo is made with all USDA inspected
and approved meats in a USDA inspected and certified facility that primarily
cuts and processes meats for restaurant and institutional (schools, etc.) use.
So, Bravo is produced under all the same processing regulations that apply to
human food products. Bravo does not send their products out to middlemen
processors, so guaranteeing total quality control. Bravo's parent company began
in the meat business in 1942, providing high quality meats for restaurant use.
Their products are made with the same high quality, USDA inspected and approved
HUMAN GRADE meats, in their own USDA Certified facility, under the same
processing regulations, that apply to human food products.
It’s not news to anyone that there have been product recalls over the past few
years, both on the human side and the pet side of the food chain. So, Bravo has
done the following. In April of 2010, they completed a two-year review by the
USDA which raised their plant grade from USDA Inspected to USDA Certified, one
of the few raw diet manufacturers in the US to achieve this standard. Quality
controls and safety practices are so strict that they are authorized to process
meat for both pet and human consumption in the same plant. In addition, every
step of the manufacturing and distribution process is carefully monitored to
ensure the product is properly transported and stored.

Lamy enjoying her BravoBully Stick
We have tried a variety of different companies' bully sticks, but love Bravo's
the most. The price is extreme, but honestly, they really are exceptional. Our
Golden Alfie is quite the aggressive chewer, but these sticks really make him
work. And, they last MUCH longer than any other brand we've tried.
Bully Sticks are
a great way to give dogs something to chew on that they'll love
and is great for them too.
They are 100% beef, meaning your dog can actually safely digest them,
unlike that of ingesting chunks of chemically-processed beef
hide from rawhide-type chews.
Bravo Bully Sticks are made from bulls, not steer parts, so they
are noticeably larger and provide a long satisfying, healthy all-natural chew.
Bravo produces human grade bullies from grass-fed bulls and dry roasts them in
their USDA Certified plant, so they can control for quality, source, size, and
freshness. Because these super premium Bully Sticks from Bravo are dried rather
than smoked, they contain no chemical additives, no smoke flavoring, and no
preservatives. Because of this preparation process, they are truly odor-free.
Bravo Bully Sticks are a healthier, safer more digestible
alternative to rawhide chews. They do not leave stains on furniture or carpets
and they will not splinter, or break up when chewed.
Remember, this is a natural product and each bully stick is therefore slightly
unique in both size, shape, and weight. But, we know you will not be
disappointed as they have a hefty look all their own. They are also very stable products when kept in a cool and dry
environment with exposure to air. They can also be frozen for

Bravo All Natural Dry Roasted Duck Feet
Bravo all natural hormone free,
antibiotic free, all natural dry roasted duck feet are a little funky.
That's because they are honestly duck feet! When you are finished cringing,
please learn more about why these treats are fabulous. The truth is, each
duck foot is an amazing treat which is adored by our furry companions,
whether dog or cat. both dogs and cats alike. They measure about four to
five inches long and one-and-a-half inches wide.
you didn't read the label on the treat bag, you could have difficulty
figuring out what they are. There are no nails on the feet, which makes them
a little easier to handle.
Golden Alfie loves these but we have a 20-year-old kitty so we haven't been
able to test her desire for them. We've read that with kitties, you may want
to soak the foot in hot water for about 10 minutes. This will soften it
enough to still allow the kitty's teeth a good workout (this can also be
done with small dogs).
Each resealable package contains between 10 and 12 duck feet and like all
Bravo products, nothing has been added and nothing has been taken away.
These are, simply, duck feet. The 5-ounce bag contains 9 to 12 duck
feet. Price: $12.75
