There are places on this site where children can participate in dog-related writing and photo contests. Information that is provided online only includes a youngster's first name, age, school name, state & country of residence, dog breed, and dog's name. These items are requested only for the interest and entertainment of the readers who visit this site. Every piece of writing sent to the Land of PureGold Foundation for posting is read and screened first by Rochelle Lesser, CAS NCSP, Nationally Certified School Psychologist, foundation site creator and webmaster. The Land of PureGold Foundation website does not collect any personally identifiable information. We do not collect last names, street addresses,  phone numbers, or accounting information. We care about providing you with tools and information to manage and protect your online privacy. We have developed this privacy policy to inform you about what information this web site collects, who may receive that information, what we may do with the information, and how long we keep it. While we have made every attempt to make this policy as clear as possible, if you have any further questions about it, feel free to contact us.

SITE FOUNDER
Rochelle Lesser, a Nationally Certified School Psychologist who engages in animal-assisted therapy, is a consultant with Millersville Psychological Services, located in Millersville, Maryland. Professional publications include two monograph articles: Stress and Illness in the Family: A Linear versus Family Life Space Perspective and The Child with Cancer: A Life Space Study of Six Families. Rochelle also published the article, Following the Golden Brick Road, which appeared in Hoflin's 2003 Golden Retriever Annual, and wrote the foreword to the book, My Rescued Golden: True Stories of Rescued Golden Retrievers and the People Who Love Them. Her private practice and graduate teaching work, however, have been significantly curtailed due to struggles with a mixed connective tissue disease. But, memories of her beloved Ollie, and her current trained therapy dog experts, Darcy and Alfie, keep her outlook bright.
