June 30, 2002 Anaheim, CA — In celebration of all-new Disney DVD and Video, From the film Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch, Golden Retriever Shooter who plays Buddy (Air Bud), Caitlin Wachs and Brian Chapek took the field at a special pop fly contest.
   
The fun took place at 4:30 PM, before the regularly scheduled game at 5:05 PM.
   
As Buddy caught a pop fly, everyone in a special section at Angel Stadium received a copy of Air Bud: Seventh Inning Fetch.
   
Buddy is an impartial ball player, and the Anaheim Angels appear in his new film.

In the movie, Josh is off to his first year of college and Buddy has stayed behind with Josh's little sister, Andrea and the rest of the family.
   
Andrea, attempting to fit in with her classmates, decides to join the baseball team and along the way discovers that Buddy is a talented baseball player.

Just as the season is settling in, a terrible discovery is made — Buddy's puppies have mysteriously started disappearing with the help of the kidnappers' little helper, Rocky Raccoon.

It looks like another case of pup napping and it's up to Buddy to find them before its too late!

FUN AIR BUD FACT: At the 1998 Academy Awards ceremony, a special segment was devoted to animals in film. Buddy was named one of the “Greatest Animal Actors of all time” and received an honorary Oscar.
