On April 27, 2000, our girl Darcy
(with the help of her Golden Mom Rochelle) provided a demonstration at the Williams
Scotsman Corporation in White Marsh, Maryland. Here she is sitting outside of the entrance
to a room filled with eager kids. Lots of great information was shared during our talk and
the handouts that were provided for each child. It was fun sharing the story of
Koko, the Gorilla who knows American Sign Language. And, it is always exciting to share
stories about how Goldens are enhancing people's lives through animal assisted therapy and
activities and service dog positions. WJZ Channel 13 in Baltimore, Maryland
covered this event. Ron Matz, who covered the shoot, fell in love with our girl. He was
touched by the children's love for her and the 'petting power' that she had. Kids just
can't seem to keep their hands off of Darcy, and want to simply hold her tight. Ron was
also amazed by Darcy's agility and flyball skills as well. A
video of Darcy, that was provided by
the television station, just recently made a transatlantic journey. It left us in Maryland
and proceeded on to Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Michigan,
Oregon, Arizona, Germany, and finally Brazil. This journey spanned almost 10 months and
along the way Darcy made so many new friends. Here's your chance to discover just where
her travels took her and who she met along the way.

This is cutie Teddy Woof-Woof DiLemmo. She lived in West Norriton,
Pennsylvania. Here she is at one of her most favorite times of the year — Christmas,
with Golden Mom Nora Anne and her human brother, Ralphie. Boy, does she look
happy! Sadly, this sweet girl lost her battle to osteosarcoma in January 2001. Although
Teddy's now earned her Golden wings, it is nice to be able to celebrate her Golden
presence here. |

This is Stormy Hershowitz. He lived in
Mount Laurel, New Jersey with Golden Mom Renée until the age of nine. Here he is
celebrating his ninth birthday. What a beautiful cake and celebration! And, what a special
guy! |

Golden Parents Toni & Alan in East Northport, New York. This adorable guy, who was
taken in by Toni & Alan, is not Golden on the outside. But, he is surely Golden
within. What an incredible smile! |
