Hi Auntie Rochelle! —
Thank you so much for the delicious cookies you baked for me. I
absolutely love them! I smelled them as soon as my Mom opened the box,
and I had to woof at her as she was taking way too much time gushing
over the tin they came in. Once she finally opened them I went into a
tail spin of happiness as she showed me how many cookies are packed into
the tin! I showed them to my Grandma last night (she takes care of me
while Mom is at work) and she said she will give me some during the day.
That made me go wild!
Mom is really excited about the wholesome ingredients and loves
the fact that they are so good for me. I don't really understand
that part as I have been known to eat dirt when in the mood, but
I do know they are scrumptious! Lots of Golden Kisses —

Hi Rochelle — I really appreciate the quick
delivery and freebies. My Golden girls and boys absolutely love the
cookies. They smell and taste wonderful. Of course I had to try one. I
told my Mom about the cookies and honey. She ordered some and she can’t
wait to get them for her Golden Retriever Rocky. I’m actually watching
him for the week and have already tried out the cookies on him. Needless
to say, they are a winner. — Rene' Howell, August 27,

Hi Rochelle — We received your package today and
Maggie and Simon just love their treats and their new organic toys! The
tin of cookies is wonderful and you were so sweet to throw in all the
extra samples. I can't get enough Golden stuff. — Janet Martino, October 13,

I’m such a proud furmom. These are my little guys, Bichon Frise, Olive, and
Bichon, Maltese & Poodle mix, Buster. I just love them to pieces.
And, they just
love your wonderful organic Healing Honey Hearts! It makes me feel better knowing they
are good for them as well! It is truly very important what you feed your dogs.

Organic Whole oats contain an antioxidant and have a
higher proportion of protein and fat than most other grains. A strength
giving cereal, oats are low in starch and high in minerals such as
potassium, phosphorus and silicon — making them good for bones and also
connective tissues. And, rich in Vitamin B and a good source of iron, oats
soothe the digestive system and cleanse the intestines of impurities.
Organic Apples
Organic Apples contain Vitamin C, potassium,
phosphorus, chlorine, sodium, magnesium, calcium, sulfur, iron, fluorine,
and silicon. Powerhouses of antioxidant activity, each apple has the effect
of about 1500 mg. of Vitamin C. These antioxidants have many important
health benefits, from reducing the odds of cancer and heart disease, to
lowering cholesterol.
Scientific research has found that apples and apple juice contain a wealth
of phytonutrients that have been found beneficial to health. A study
conducted at Rochester, Minnesota's Mayo Clinic reported finding the
"powerful antioxidant, quercetin, in apples and apple juice." Quercetin is
one of the most potent antioxidant agents ever discovered, according to
researchers. In the journal 'Nature', 2000, researchers at Cornell
University reported that apple components had more antioxidant capability
than a 1,500-milligram mega dose of vitamin C. "Scientists are interested in
isolating single components, such as vitamin C, vitamin E, or beta carotene
to see if they exhibit antioxidant benefits", says Dr. Rui Hai Liu, at
Cornell University. "It turns out that none of those work alone. It's the
combination of flavonoids and polyphenols [antioxidant phytonutrients found
in apples] doing the work."
It's good to be choosy when picking apples. The USDA has identified 35
insecticides, fungicides, and weed killers sprayed on apples, even though
the Environmental Protection Agency considers them hazardous. Tests by the
Environmental Working Group show that these chemicals do show up in
supermarkets, so it is especially important to choose an organic apple you
can trust.
Organic Active 15+
Manuka
Healing Honey
Organic Active 15+ Manuka Healing Honey is a raw honey
from New Zealand’s pristine nature preserves. It is so beneficial that it’s
classified as a Therapeutic Good in Australia. Thick and amber-colored, it
has a barley-sugar flavor and very potent caramel aftertaste. Six weeks
labor every year from wondrous honeybees produces this pure liquid gold.
Active 15+ Manuka offers significant health-enhancing benefits, accounting
for more than a 100-fold difference in potency between Healing Honey and all
other honeys.
For six glorious weeks of every year, the wondrous honeybees of New
Zealand’s nature preserves buzz among the wild and fragrant flowering Manuka
trees. Carrying their precious treasure of Manuka nectar back to the hive,
they fly thousands of miles and visit uncountable blossoms in their
journeys. To the casual observer, this may appear to be a simple, mundane
task. And at one level it is. At another level, however, it is truly
miraculous. In their day-to-day work, honeybees literally sustain all of
creation as they pollinate plants that produce oxygen and provide food for
nearly every life form on the planet. Science still marvels at the
honeybees’ ability to accomplish this phenomenal feat. While this
contribution alone merits them a special place of honor, they also
simultaneously create the sweetest, most enticing, most healing food known
to humankind.
The amazing fruit of their six weeks’ labor is pure liquid gold — Healing
Honey®. 100% Certified Organic Active 15+ Manuka Honey captured the
attention of researchers and scientists when they discovered that this
remarkable honey possesses a unique and highly beneficial characteristic not
found in any other honey. This special Manuka factor offers significant
health-enhancing benefits above and beyond the hydrogen peroxide enzymes and
other valuable properties found in all raw honeys. It also accounts for the
more than 100-fold difference in potency.
Only 2% of all Manuka honey is the rare Active 15+ Manuka Honey that
scientific studies have found to be so therapeutic. Manuka
honey is tested by independent laboratories to determine the level of its
therapeutic, active compounds. Only Manuka honey that carries the Active 15+
designation has a scientifically tested and verified potency equal to that
of a 15% phenol (carbolic) solution. Healing Honey’s confirmed 15+ activity
level ensures that the powerful and proven properties of Active 15+ Manuka
Honey are in every delicious and exquisite spoonful you eat.
Absolutely no chemicals, synthetics or antibiotics are ever used with these
bees, in their hives or in our honey. After harvest, Healing Honey is
meticulously tested to verify that it is free of over 160 chemical residues
to ensure its organic purity. This not only protects you and the environment
from any potential contamination, it also safeguards the astounding
qualities and beneficial attributes of this liquid gold.
Organic
Saigon
Cinnamon
(5% Oil Content)
Organic Saigon Cinnamon
is one of the world's most important spices. Saigon cinnamon, a rare and powerful variety, boasts significantly higher oil contents.
The oil content in our recipe is at 5 percent. The higher
the oil content, the more aroma and flavor. Cinnamon actually comes from the
bark of trees in the evergreen family. There are several varieties of trees
from which we derive cinnamon which are referred to as the "cinnamomum"
family. Most of the cinnamon comes from trees of the "cinnamomum cassia"
family. This is why you may hear the spice referred to as "cassia". In the
industry, this term is used to distinguish between the cassia type of
cinnamon and the Ceylon type of cinnamon. Cinnamon is graded on its content
of essential oil. Therefore, cassia types of cinnamon, which average higher
oil content than the Ceylon types, are rated superior by the cinnamon loving
population.
The cassia group is native to China, Indo-China, and Indonesia.
Unquestionably, the cinnamon best suited to American bakers comes from the
cassia type of cinnamon. Saigon has a distinctly sweet flavor as compared to
the Indonesian types. The color is darker than the Indonesian as well. Cinnamon has a long history of use in
India and was first used medicinally in Egypt and parts of Europe, as far
back as 500 BC. Traditionally, cinnamon was taken for colds, flu and
digestive problems, like indigestion and diarrhea and it is still used in
much the same way today. Cinnamon also helps to treat nausea and flatulence.
Even the oil found in cinnamon has antifungal and antibacterial properties.
In traditional Chinese Medicine, cinnamon is known as an energizing herb and
is used to treat kidney conditions and asthma. Isn't it nice to know that
something that tastes so good is also good for you & your dog?
Organic Ginger
Organic Ginger
is the premium anti-nausea herb and is well tolerated by dogs of all
ages. More importantly, ginger acts as a digestive tonic and relieves
stomach, and intestinal gas. Ginger stimulates digestive juices and
helps to expel worms. It's also great in helping to treat colds and
sore throats.
